TEACHER DEVELOPMENT COURSES
Richard Language College has been at the forefront of innovation in language teaching, assessment and profiling for teachers of English as a Foreign Language for over 30 years. Progressively, our Teacher Development Courses have included classroom methodology and practice relevant to non-linguists. Now we have some truly 21st century offers - courses in classroom methodology for all subject teachers, including the development of CLIL teaching and integrating the 8 Key Competences. All our courses are taught by highly successful U.K. practitioners. They are primarily aimed at European teachers who wish to apply for an Erasmus+ grant but we are happy to welcome teachers from any part of the world.
Course Descriptions
All our courses meet rigorous Erasmus+ requirements: language entry levels, total course contact hours, pre-course, intra-course and post-course support, course content and topics covered, course objectives, daily programme & timetable, outcomes.
Accommodation Service
Good quality local accommodation, appropriate for adult students, can be arranged with one of our experienced British host families. Staying with a host family gives you the opportunity to practise what has been learned during the day and absorb English expressions, which only occur in the home or family. Accommodation will be a single room with half board during the week and full board at the weekend, with light laundry provided. Executive rooms (with sole use of bathroom) and self-catering accommodation (summer only) can be arranged on request. Please contact us for further details, prices and availability.
Social Programme
Our optional social programme provides you with the opportunity to join social and cultural events. There is a wide range of activities available including excursions to places of interest, cinema visits, walks, sports and games evenings. Activities are advertised on our notice board and can be booked with the Client Services Department.
