ABOUT BOURNEMOUTH

Welcome to the UK's best beach - as voted in TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice awards again in 2022, and welcome to Bournemouth 2023.

Bournemouth's seven-mile stretch of unspoilt coastline and Blue Flag beaches provide the perfect backdrop if you are looking to kick-start your new year in the best way possible.

Head here for a city-style break beside the sea. Whether you’re looking for an iconic, period hotel or cosy, family-run B&B, there is a wide array of potential accommodation in and around Bournemouth.

Come and blow away those cobwebs on the Coast with the Most: there are acres of space to enjoy outdoor pursuits or maybe even take to the water if the conditions allow. Walk, run or cycle on sandy beaches, through award-winning Victorian gardens or along Bournemouth's majestic clifftops and bask in the sun.

After the tremendous success of previous years'  Christmas Tree Wonderland,  we are looking forward to this year's, the dates of which will be announced soon.  Attention in the seaside resort will then turn to 2023 and the long list of exciting events that are planned across Bournemouth. Whilst the summer season is the time of the Air Festival, spring is a time for new beginnings and what better way to kick-start your new year than by signing up to the Bournemouth Bay Run, the premier event for runners in the resort? With a half-marathon, 10 km, 5 km as well as the 1 km fun run for kids; there is an event perfect for every calibre of runner.

There are also hundreds of bustling restaurantscafés and bars in the heart of the town. Swing by one after a day of exploring the beautiful coastline or indeed our varied and eclectic selection of high street shops and department stores, to grab a bite to eat or a celebratory tipple before catching a show in one of our theatres or concert venues. Why not check out the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum located on East Cliff to add a different dimension to your visit?

Whilst the weather is warming up, it can still be tricky to avoid the inclement climate some days. Luckily there are several museums, amusements and the impressive BH2 complex where you can enjoy a great day out under cover. The Pavilion in the town centre will also host a series of exciting performances including the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO): Eastern Promise, a live musical performance of  renowned classical productions.

Whatever you choose to do this year, we hope you make the most of the activities in the local area and please do share your memories on the Coast with the Most in 2023 with the #lovebournemouth
