Dear Mr Vann,

A few years ago I was granted a place in your school. At that time I was a medical student and had the need to improve my English, in order to be able to participate in international congresses, read medical books and also simply communicate in English. I had the chance to be in an excellent school with the best teachers and staff and you also arranged me accommodation with a lovely English family - Mrs Thomass. I must tell you it was a fantastic time of my life and I will always keep in my heart best memories of it.

Nowadays I am a resident in gastro-enterology. I am going to be an endoscopist in two years time and a few days ago an article I had written after years of study has got the approval to be published in English in an American journal. Im absolutely sure I would not have been able to do that without the help you gave me. Ill always be thankful.

What you do is priceless. I keep you all in my heart.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Your sincerely

Long course Comments

Mina Kawai - Japan

When I went to Richard Language College at first, I had no friends in England and I was afraid of many things but I got used to my English life, because teachers are very friendly, host family are like my parents and class is exciting.
I think I've got very good experience in English language. It's a very big decision to study abroad alone, and for one year for me, but I feel satisfied to come here now and I'm sure I can enjoy the rest of my English life.

Ohmi Hashizume - Japan

Before I came here, I worried about everything in study, friends etc. But now I'm really enjoying my English life. I can meet a lot of people - not only Japanese but also people from all over the world. I believe that to meet and talk with a lot of people lead me a correct thinking about culture. I'm always impressed by my friend, time which I'm spending at RLC will be one of my great experiences.

Ahmed Mohamed - Libya

In Bournemouth there are a lot of schools for English language and some of them are good and some are not very good. I think Richard Language College is the best one in Bournemouth because is has a lot of good things. For example, most of the teachers in this school are good and they have good experience about teaching and the position is very convenient and if you like to watch TV there is a special room for that and there is a restaurant and caf. I think this school has a lot of facilities. It's nice for the students and there is in this school multi-media to improve your listening by listen to the cassette and the book together. At multi-media you can use Internet as well. All the students have chance to visit another city in England because this school organised it and most students have chance to speak to each other for improving speaking English.

Akiko Shinohara - Japan

I've stayed here about 3 months. I'm really enjoying studying in this school. There are a lot of reasons… For example, good friend, good teacher, good host family. That's why I don't feel homesick. After I came here, I interested in culture. In our school, there are lots of people who are from another country. Of course, I can study English, moreover I can study another language from Native!!

Jae Hong Park - Korean

I think RLC is a very nice school. I always think about social programmes. It is very helpful to learn English because we can have a conversation with other friendly students, for example on school trips, sports activities and sometimes parties.
So RLC is giving good programmes. We can take an exam, like IELTS, Cambridge and TOEIC so we don't need to move to take a exam. In the private study centre we can use the Internet and reading books. RLC also has a good building and clean classroom as well as very kind teachers.

Valeria Pocka - French

It's a good school because we can find a lot of students from other countries. The school organises lots of trips, we can use the Internet and see films. The teachers are very helpful and very kind.

Nicky Tseng - Taiwanese

Why I chose Richard Language College?

Because …
There is an IELTS test centre.
There are a specialise IELTS course.
If you have any problem, Richard's staff very kind, they are happy to help you.

I-Chen Huang - Taiwanese

The host family is very good for me, but so far …
The school is fine… school can let me learning more about conversation?
Bournemouth is a good place … people is a little solemn.

Ying-Hui (Justina) Chen - Taiwanese

It is absolutely fantastic in Bournemouth.
I study English in RLC which has nice teachers, various social programmes and friendly students who come from other countries.
On weekends I always enjoy everything in Bournemouth. For example, go to the beach, go to the library, go shopping in town centre and do exercise in the park. Its quite a peaceful place. I love it.

Short course Comments

Sonia Ciscar - Spain

When I first arrived to Richard Language College, I realised that it was a great school. I think that everything is very well organised and the people are really kind (both teachers and the other students). I especially like classes because they're very funny and we can learn many different things. I would like to say that people in Bournemouth are very friendly and the families are doing everything they can to make us have a nice stay.
The experience is being very good and if I come back to England, I'm sure that I will come back to Bournemouth and Richard Language College.

Barbara Rink - Germany

I am very lucky to be in Bournemouth at Richard Language College. I appreciate my English lessons, but also my family and the international atmosphere. I'm in an international group of people and I love it. It is the first time that I've booked language holidays and I am very happy. I am completely happy about my personal situation in Bournemouth. Bournemouth is a nice town which offers many activities and with a very nice beach. Perhaps I'll come back next year! English food is better than people said. The meals in my family are good.

Franck Bourasseau - France

I've no regrets at all by having chosen Bournemouth and RLC to improve my English. I met nice people from European countries, with whom I enjoyed Bournemouth - the beach, the pubs and also the sun.

Many thanks for everything.

Anne-Friederike Strube - Germany

I went to Richard Language College to take part in a "Comenius Teacher Refresher Course" for 2 weeks. The British teachers and the other students from all over the world were very nice. In my grammar class I learned a lot. Moreover I enjoyed it very much because we talked about different themes, practised pronunciation, colloquial English and grammar. Besides that we laughed a lot. We got to know each other and our different cultures, a process that could carry on during the social events organised by the college. In methodology I got many ideas about teaching English to my students at home.
Bournemouth is a nice town with beautiful houses and gardens, a lovely white beach and many places of interest, you can't get bored here. When the weather is fine you can really enjoy yourself.

Elena Vandelli - Italy

I came here 2 weeks ago and I'm leaving tomorrow. It has been a great experience: the intimate atmosphere of the college, the people I've met, my 'two classes' (one in the morning, the other in the afternoon), the teachers, my host family…everything…even the weather!
Besides what I've learnt it's always fascinating getting in touch with other people coming from different countries, having different habits, different traditions…
I'm going home really enthusiastic thinking about how learning a language can be such a stimulating, motivating and involving process, and I've a lot of ideas for my job as well.

Angela Wegner - Germany

Although I only attended a short course at RLC, I think I have learned a lot. This is because we had a brilliant teacher in our morning lessons. She kept us busy with various activities - like speaking, reading, listening, writing and it was never boring. My host family was excellent too - in addition the weather in the second week was sunny and warm.
