Course Description:
�Intensive teacher refresher courses for groups of non-native teachers of English or students following a teacher-training course. Each course aims to refresh your English through a demonstration of how techniques work in practice. � Improvement of language and teaching skills � exchange of views � discussion of all aspects of language teaching with native English contemporaries and colleagues. Course 'A' for practising teachers, Course 'B' for student teachers. Each course is designed with the sponsor/group leader to suit the needs of individual groups and might include sessions on the following: Course Content � Background to methodology � review of current teaching methods and materials � Grammar awareness � revision of structures � presentation of new language � Teaching Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing skills � Teaching vocabulary � use of dialogues � Teaching literature � teaching younger learners. Optional components � Observation of EFL lessons � Visits to English state schools (not possible at certain times of the year) � Lectures on various aspects of the English language � Visit to specialist ELT bookshop; extra training sessions. European Union financial support is available for foreign language teachers to undertake periods of in-service training abroad. Please contact the College or its representative abroad.
